I feel bad to have clocked up a far too many time faults since the last newsletter, primarily my new employment proved to be very time consuming! So, from here till the end of the year it will be keep kicking!
Attending the Quirindi CCI in July was a pleasure this year, the weather was superb. I can honestly say this event is growing and improving. The going and the flow of the course has improved enormously so well done to the organising committee. I will own up to not commentating the dressage on Friday and admit struggling for enthusiasm for this. If any of the sit tight radio followers out there have great ideas regarding covering the dressage at these local events please drop me a line! Cross country day was typical of July in North Western NSW, frosty and crisp, followed by a sparkling sunny day. The commentary position perfectly situated in the centre of the course and in front of the water jump. The blue lounge had a few “drop ins” including our mate Chris “Hoppy” Hopkins taking up the microphone for the later classes.
Tamworth CIC event went with dressage for the 2 and 3 star on Friday, which met with mixed emotions from the riders and the blue lounge unable to teleport itself from Richmond to Tamworth in time to provide coverage. In other words, having a real job got in the way of attending the dressage! I believe competing in the indoor arena for dressage and show jumping has a huge impact on the results. I wonder if the construction of an even bigger indoor in the coming months will improve this dilemma. And let’s not even start the conversation about parking!
Moving forward to the upcoming events, Sit Tight Radio has a new program for your listening pleasure.
Starting from this coming Monday 11th September at 11 am will be “Pulling the stick on all things Eventing”. Covering a variety of topics.
An interview style show that you can listen live or playback in the interview section of the app.
Hope you’re listening!
If you follow Sit Tight Radio on Facebook look out for an opportunity to post any ideas or questions regarding the next show and the dates of the shows to follow.
In other news, there have been some changes on the app. The cost of listening for 1 event is now $10 and the only place to purchase a yearly subscription is through the website shop. http://www.sittightradio.com.au/shop/. This has changed due to iTunes being quite expensive with the cut they take.
