Well Sit Tighters, things are certainly heating up in the lead ups to Adelaide and Wallaby Hill 3DE’s. STR was excited to be broadcasting live and on the app from the blue lounge and/or the blue gazebo from both Canberra CIC and Goulburn CIC. For 2 events so close together, both geographically and calendar wise they were complete polar opposites in nearly every other way.
The deplorable Canberra weather on Friday and Saturday meant that there were lots of ‘high beaming’ from the riders, bogged trucks and a good tracking of red mud up everyone’s tail ramps. The amazing all weather arenas were much appreciated by the horses and the grooms who didn’t have to worry about getting the glo white shampoo out of the grooming box. Despite it being very moist the amazing committee gritted their teeth and got on with it with a smile on the outside and probably a lot of internal swearing.
